Cleaning: after-hours call script
A script for calls that come in nights and weekends.
Source: Hive playbook
Why it works
After-hours callers are often the most urgent and the most ready to book. Voicemail loses them.
Steps
- 1
Answer every time (AI or answering service).
- 2
Sort urgent vs can-wait.
- 3
Urgent: dispatch or call back per your on-call rules.
- 4
Can-wait: book first slot tomorrow.
Prompt / script
After-hours prompt: "Thanks for calling [BUSINESS]. Our office is closed but I can help right now. What's going on?" If urgent (a move-out or guests arriving this week): follow on-call rules, tell them when to expect a call back. Else: "I can put you on the schedule first thing. Is [MORNING] or [AFTERNOON] better?"
